I believe that the world is getting better. You who are reading this are most likely more fortunate than your parents. The average person today is richer, healthier, better educated, than was the case fifty years ago. I believe this not to be down to chance, but the result of the accumulation of the contributions of previous generations.
To the extent that your contributions exceed your consumption over your lifetime, you are paying it forward to future generations. How much you are able to contribute at any one time is dependent on many things: your health, your education, the people you know. But all of us can ask ourselves how can we increase our capacity to contribute. How can we serve our customers or employers better, love our families and friends better, and show more compassion to those who serve us?
I believe in enlightened self-interest. I believe that dedicating ourselves to a life of service is the most reliable strategy to find material success, love, happiness, inner peace and fulfilment.
I find fulfilment through serving those who are committed to working to increase their contribution.
Often when we start a new job or role we take some time to get up to speed. And once up to speed, we often fall into complacency. As a coach, I can help you get up to speed more quickly. I can help you overcome complacency and take your performance to the next level. I can help you find ways to align your work better with what really matters to you.
I have co-created Integral Incubator Europe for those who want to invest five days in going deep and kick-starting a business idea or project.
I believe in being of service in our most important relationships. With my wife Renee I offer couples coaching.
As well as working as a coach, I serve as Project Director in Strategy in Telenor, where I have previously worked in pricing, product management and finance. I am a fan of the lean startup movement. My Masters’ degrees include an Engineering degree from Cambridge University and an MBA from Rotterdam School of Management.
